Rupert Blanchard, of Styling and Salvage, constructs his unique pieces by lavishing attention on discarded and broken objects; making the unwanted wanted again. He collects hundreds of broken drawers, doors, fittings and fixtures from second-hand furniture dealers and clearance companies. His finds are almost always one step away from the landfill. He seems to have a story for every piece, so a visit to his blog is a must! The piece just below features a vintage advertising sign that was significantly damaged and no longer appealing to collectors. I love how Blanchard sees potential in unexpected places…
